Troubleshooting

What works without internet?

Mobile reception is poor in many storage buildings. That is why Secure Digital Storage is built so that you can open doors even without an internet connection.

  • Opening over Bluetooth: in the building, the app connects to the site through the installed Bluetooth modules. The Bluetooth permission must be granted and Bluetooth switched on.
  • Opening over NFC: you hold your phone to the lock. This never needs internet.
  • Looking up your access code and viewing your doors: the app remembers your access rights from the last time it loaded them.

Some locks can only be opened over the internet. At such doors the app shows you a notice offline that you need an internet connection.

  • Signing in and adding an identity.
  • Loading new or changed access rights, for example after a new booking. Pull the list of doors down once you are online again.
  • Opening doors remotely when you are not in the building.
  • Deleting your account.

First check whether an app update is available and install it. Then check that Bluetooth is switched on and the app has permission for it, see Change permissions. If the app says that no Bluetooth connection is available at this entrance, use your access code at the keypad or move to a spot with reception.
