Which phones are supported?

Secure Digital Storage runs on iPhones and Android phones. For the app to open reliably, your device needs a current operating system and a few features.

Operating system

We support the current version of iOS and Android and the two previous versions of each. Older versions no longer receive security updates from Apple and Google; for an app that opens doors, that is not a safe basis. The exact minimum version is shown in the App Store or Google Play on the app’s listing.

Phone features

• Internet, at least for signing in and loading your access rights.
• Bluetooth, so that the app can open in the building even without internet. Every phone of recent years has it.
• NFC, if locks at your site are opened via NFC. All current iPhones and most Android devices have NFC.
• A device lock with a code, pattern or biometric feature. Without it the app cannot be used, see What is biometric authentication used for?.

Tablets and other devices

The app is made for phones. It can be installed on tablets if the store offers it; for opening on site, a phone is the more practical choice.
