What is the app?

Secure Digital Storage is the app you use as the tenant of a storage unit to open the doors at your site. Your provider uses sedisto’s access technology for this.

What you can do with the app

• Open doors: you select your site and, at the door you want to open, tap the lock icon. Opening works over the internet and, if you allow it, over Bluetooth in parallel; some locks you open via NFC, see How does the app open doors?.
• Look up your access code: the app shows you your personal access code. You enter it on the device on site, for example on the keypad next to the door.
• Share access: you can give other people access to your storage unit, for example family members or colleagues, see Can I give others access?.
• View access times: the detail view of a door shows when you have access. The times follow from your contract; your provider can also set times for you that differ from the official ones.
• Manage identities: for example, you can keep a business and a private identity side by side.

What you need to get started

First, a rental agreement with a self-storage provider that uses sedisto’s access technology. The app alone opens no door; your provider activates you for your storage unit.

Then you sign in to the app, with Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook or with your e-mail address and a code that we send you by e-mail. There is no password. It is important that you use the same e-mail address you gave when booking; only then do you see your doors. For details of how signing in works, see Sign in.
